KEVIN07?

Posted by Jason Virgo at October 09. 2007

Is kevin going to be the new prime minister? I think he will make a good change and a much needed change. Someone younger who understands young people. This effort to get in touch with young people through things such as www.kevin07.com.au may be seen as just playing youtube politics to get votes. But hey atleast he is trying to get in touch with young people! Howards been in government for 11 yrs and only when it looks like his government is going down does he attempt to get connected. But he has no idea and gives boring and out of touch speeches to young people via You Tube. That only continues young people's uninspired relationship with the government.

I do think he's going to be our PM, but i dont think things like 'keven 07' is a real effort to get in touch with young people.  I think at the moment its all about political campaigning so we dont know what he'd actually really be like in office, however i must say at the moment he's looking like he's got it in the bag.  John Howard is definatly out of touch with young people, and his attempts on You Tube and the reaction he got show that.  It will be very interesting to see the results of the election for my generation, who have grown up only knowing Howard.

Time for a change!

I think a good challenge for this forum would be for everyone to abstain from the terms "out of touch" or "working families".  Let's face it, they're meaningless terms, just like KEVIN07.

Talk about over use of words... "My fellow Australians, mateship etc" Politicians have ruined alot of words that meant alot to Australians.

Working families never meant anything to anyone.
