It's easy to say he's a sell out , but I don't have any facts to support this. Is he silent, towing the line, or are the things he says just under-reported? Could he be biding his time to save the world - start date early 2008 - or has the world been shelved for personal ambition?

I think he will be a much better change for the environment portfolio. He certainly would have handled the Pulp Mill differently and has commented on this.

I think Rudd made a huge mistake by putting Garrett in the environment portfolio; and it shows that he doesn't have as much confidence in him as a Minister as he makes out.

He would be much better in another portfolio where has the chance to make a new name for himself and not be burdened by such a large reputation, which clearly has backfired on him in the Gunns case.
